Why dye migration happens
Disperse dyes in sublimated fabrics can become active again under heat and migrate into the transfer graphic above. Dark, highly saturated polyester fabrics generally carry the greatest risk.
Lower temperature alone is not enough
A lower temperature can reduce dye activation, but adhesive bonding and wash durability must still be protected. A more reliable approach is to evaluate low-temperature processing together with an effective barrier structure.
How to validate before production
Make samples with the actual fabric batch, then observe initial whiteness, colour change after resting and performance after washing. Test conditions should closely reflect the intended press and production cycle.
